Q: What is a Wrap?

A: Vehicle Wraps creates high quality, high resolution car, truck and fleet wraps. With a care wrap, you can maximize the area your advertising reaches by making it move. Our vehicle wraps are cost effective and can provide you business with a new look. Traditional advertising methods would suggest the more money you spend, the more advertising you will receive; but with a moving vehicle wrap, you only have to pay a one-time fee to advertise and be seen by a whole city! Vehicle wraps allow you to control who and where your wrap will be seen. The more you drive, the more exposure your business will get.

Q: Is a Wrap Cost Effective?

A: When purchasing a car, truck or RV wrap for you or your business, it comes down to one thing; how much do you want your business to be seen? With our in house graphic design, we make low, competitive prices and stay within your budget to get your new vehicle or fleet wrap on the street. A study from the American Trucking Association says that 91% of people notice words and pictures when displayed on trucks. By investing in a vehicle wrap, you are widening the area of impact of your advertising 3-fold. Vehicle wraps allow your company to advertise safely, without increasing your spending.

Q: What is the range of vehicle wraps?

A: We offer a wide range of car, truck and van wraps. It doesn't have to be a full vehicle wrap either. You can choose from a quarter wrap all the way to a full car wrap. Whether you want to advertise your business, or just yourself. Boss Printing has the options. We can wrap your car, truck, van, motorcycle, sport bike, semi-truck, scion and even your boat! Vehicle wraps are one of the most popular out of home advertising methods in the market today. Whether you need wraps for one car or twelve, contact us today and let us put your ideas in motion.

Q: How long does the process take?

A: The part of the process that we like spending the majority of the time is the development of the concept that will go on the vehicle. The length of this depends directly on how much direction you already have for the graphics. After the graphic stage is finalized and we enter production it takes between 5 to 10 days to have the wrap fully installed.

Q: Can the wrap be removed later?

A: Absolutely. The wrap is actually stacked to the vehicle using heat and pressure-sensitive adhesives that can be reactivated by our installers. The removal process is very short.

Q: How long will the wrap stay on my vehicle?

A: Normally, a wrap can stay between 4 to 6 years on the vehicle depending on the treatment that is given to it.

Q: Do I have to wash my vehicle before installation?

A: Yes. All vehicles have to be free of dust, mud, pollen, and other agents that may slow down the installation process.

Q: How long do you need my vehicle for installation?

A: Installation normally takes between one and two days depending on how much coverage has to be applied.

Q: Will it damage my paint?

A: No. The material used actually protects your paint-job from minor scratches .

Q: How do I set up my file?

A: Remember to design your file in CMYK at 300 or greater dpi and 100%. Include instructions on a separate file or separate layer. And don't forget the bleed and safety area. Indicate die lines, hole punches, and kiss cuts on a separate layer.

Q: What is a back print?

A: Back printing is black and white printing on the peel off part of your sticker. It can be used for additional artwork, or information highlighting your web address, CD release date, next gig, or whatever information you'd like to share.

Q: What is a bleed?

A: Artwork must bleed an 1/8" beyond the die cut/knife cut on all sides. The die cutting machine can shift up to 3/32". A 1/8" bleed will ensure that the machine won't cut into your design. A bleed does not count towards your final sticker size - you do not pay for a bleed because it is cut off. As an example, if your sticker size is 4" x 4" then the file you submit should be 4.25" x 4.25".

Q: What is the safety area?

A: All sticker artwork should have an 1/8" safety area. This is the space between the die line and the live area of your sticker. Keep all text and graphics within the live (safety) area. As an example, if your sticker size is 4" x 4" then your text and graphics should be within 3.75" x 3.75".

Q: What is a kiss cut?

A: A kiss cut is a conforming die that "kisses" the surface of the vinyl and doesn't cut through the backing paper. The kiss cut allows the individual location to be peeled, leaving the rest of the sticker untouched. Remember when creating a kiss cut, to indicate it on a separate layer and to leave 1/8" on either side of the kiss cut to allow for a safety area. There should also be 1/4" between cuts, so if your kiss cut runs parallel with the die cut, each of them need 1/8" for a total of 1/4" between cuts.

Q: Do you offer slit backing?

A: Yes we do offer slit backing, please inquire as to a cost.

Q: What is a clothing hang tag?

A: A clothing hang tag is basically a vinyl sticker with a hole punch (for hanging on t-shirts, etc). The 110 lb. sticker backing is printable (for sizes, web addresses, etc). Often times people use die cuts and/or kiss cuts to keep the design nice and tight.

Q: What is a sticker business card?

A: Sticker face business cards are vinyl stickers printed onto a 110lb. backing paper. Your company info can be added to either side. A new spin on an old classic. Sticker face business cards cost between $158/1000 - $173/1000 (depending whether you print on the backing paper.) You can get pricing for sticker business cards using our pricing calculator.
